Purpose and format. This blog site is designed to be used in conjunction with the Facebook Page of David Treppendahl.  https://www.facebook.com/David.Treppendahl David uses his Facebook page primarily to serve as a debate forum between people who disagree with the policies, statements and actions of President Trump and his administration (The Blue Team) and those who support the policies, statements and actions of President Trump and his administration (The Red Team.)  It also welcomes comments from those who are in between (The Purple Team).  The forum is structured such that David (or his cohorts) will generate a topic and write a short essay that will ALWAYS find fault with President Trump or his associates. These essays are “Points”.  It is then up to members of the Red Team to write “Counterpoints” that challenge the Points and it is up to other members of the Blue Team to counter the counterpoints.    

Only the initial Points are posted here. Counterpoints and subsequent points are on Facebook, not here.

Publius 21C. Many of the initial Points are written by two co-authors. Rather than each author’s name appearing, the author is shown to be “Publius 21C” (a name derived from the authors of the Federalist Papers.)

Word limit: All points and counterpoints should be 700 words or less.

Rules for Participation. To keep the debates relevant and civil, a set of rules have been established, and participants must adhere to these rules.  Failure to do so will result in the offender being blocked from making further comments.
